The internet has been spotty and our time to blog has been extremely limited, so we apologize for not keeping you updated more, but it hasn't hampered our enthusiasm for the work to be done. Each work team has made great progress on roofing, scraping, priming & painting and working together as a team. Our youth are dedicated to service and are witnessing for God in man unique ways each day as can be seen in the photos. We spent
Monday evening with a local Navajo gentleman who taught us how to do beadwork. Tuesday evening was a sing a long and skits about how each group was coming along on their projects. We start our day with a devotion and prayer, scripture and discussion at lunch, prayer before dinner, and bedtime devotion. Each w
ork group performs various "chores" throughout the week, including kitchen duty, dinner grace, & bathroom duty both at our eating house and our sleeping quarters. We leave for the work site at 9 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. We all shower between 4 and 6 p.m. and eat dinner at 6, so as you can see, there isn't much free time. There is a continuous basketball or frisby throw going on that our kids are always participating in. We have a great group and are having a terrific growing experience for both youth and adults.
