Day 4 Next to the Last Work Day

Wow, what an experience. We are each going out on our teams and having a wonderful experience. Mehvish & Remi are with Dianne and two leaders from Oregon and four other youth--painting the outside of a house.

Greg has Chris and Dylan, along with another leader and other youth--they are doing roofing and finally began doing some drywall today, but the roofing, which was to be a half day job was having setbacks, so starting the drywall was slightly delayed.

Jackie has Josie, Scott and Michael in her group, along with another leader and other youth--they drive about 45 minutes each day and are painting the outside of a house.

Drew has Sarah in his group along with another leader and other youth and they are doing roofing.

Emily is in a group that is next to the house that Drew is working on, so he sees her every day on the work site--they even took a break on Tuesday and hook a hike to the place where the homeowner keeps her sheep. They are also doing roofing

Both Luke and Aruj are in two separate groups and are with adult leaders from churches other than ours, but are in good hands.

Luke's group is roofing and putting up outside walls on a new construction and also have made runs to the local dump. According to his leader, he is an "animal".

Aruj's group is working on a roofing project and today her group joined Jackie's group to help them with their painting project.

So, as you can see, we are all being kept really busy. We are all ready for "lights out" at 10 p.m. or whenever all the chores and bedtime rituals are done. The kids are all ready to come home for what they would call "real food", but other than that, no one has too many complaints. Tonight we are going on a hike, so pictures will be downloaded later. They are calling us to dinner early . . .
